Kerrie Rd Neighbourhood House has a wonderful range of opportunities to support children to develop their artistic talents. During school terms we offer one hour workshops during the week PLUS a 2 hour weekly Masterclass for passionate young artists interested in developing technique using a range of mediums.
Kid’s Creative Painting and Drawing (5-12 years)
Our children’s art classes encourage originality and creativity, enabling children to explore various mediums and techniques. Children will work on a range of projects using pastel (soft/oil), paint (watercolour/acrylic) and pencil. These classes provide a wonderful opportunity for children to develop painting and drawing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Kid’s Art Masterclass
Our Children’s Art Masterclass is very popular. Please phone the Office on 9887 6226 to see if places are available. If not, your child’s name will be placed on a waitlist in order of date of enquiry and we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.
This program is suitable for students wishing to develop technique using a range of mediums (e.g. watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pencil, oils etc.). Students in Masterclass are required to make more creative decisions about their work and are encouraged to develop and extend their art vocabulary.
Materials (Workshops & Masterclass)
Kerrie Rd Neighbourhood House provides a range of materials for use in each class. Children are also required to bring along their own set of art materials which they can purchase from our office as a kit and then bring to class each week. This helps children to learn how to care for their own materials and allows children to complete any unfinished work at home.
